The Russian Arts Theater and Studio Presents “The Rise And Fall Of Macondo”
The Russian Arts Theater and Studio presents “The Rise And Fall Of Macondo”, a theatrical performance inspired by Gabriel García Márquez’s magnum opus One Hundred Years of Solitude. Staged by acclaimed director Aleksey Burago and featuring the studio ensemble, embark upon a magical and sleepless journey in South America and see the birth and death of the mythical town of Macondo through the history of the Buendía family. Turkish actress Desen Uygur, grand daughter of Nejat Uygur, renowned Turkish actor and comedian, is also starring at the play. She plays one of the lead character ” Amaranta”. Set in a Russian country estate, this comedy portrays the struggles of Konstantin Gavrilovich Treplev to achieve his artistic ambitions and win the admiration of his muse Nina. Thwarted by his spotlight-craving actress mother, frustrated by his competition with the famous writer Trigorin, Konstantin’s anguish is reflected by the pain of the other characters. Featuring: Michael Donaldson, Roman Freud, Kristina Korop, Alex Malyi, Luisa Menzen, David A. Russell, Tom Schubert, Lana Stimmler, Desen Uygur, Oleksiy Varfolomiyev and Di Zhu.

Türk tiyatrosunun unutulmaz ismi merhum sanatçı Nejat Uygur, hem çocukları, hem de torunları tarafından yaşatılmaya devam ediyor. Uygur’un beş oğlundan üçü tiyatrocu. Şimdi bu nesile bir isim daha eklendi. Kemal Uygur’un kızı Desen de tiyatro yapıyor. Hem de Amerika’da. ‘Uygurlar’ın Amerika temsilcisi’ olan Desen, yedi yıldır New York’ta yaşıyor. 1984 doğumlu Desen, Müjdat Gezen Konservatuvarı Tiyatro Bölümü’nü birincilikle bitirdikten sonra Şahika Tekand Studio Oyuncuları’nda iki yıl eğitim almış. Amcaları Süheyl- Behzat Uygur’un yanı sıra, Ali Poyrazoğlu, Hadi Çaman, Metin Zakoğlu gibi isimlerle çalışmış. 35 yaşındaki Desen, New York’ta Stanislavski metodu üzerine eğitimler alıp kendisini geliştirmiş ve pek çok oyunda ciddi roller üstlenmiş. Desen, en son geçen hafta yeni oyunuyla ayakta alkışlandı. Gabriel Garcia Marquez’in ‘Yüzyıllık Yalnızlık’ adlı romanından uyarlanan oyunda başrol oynayan Desen, kariyerini bir süre daha ABD’de sürdürmeye devam edecek. Yakın zamanda adını daha fazla duyuracağından eminim.

The Play ‘Hasta Etme Adami’ (Don’t Make Me Sick) Brought Two Generations Together.
In Turkey tour of the play Hasta Etme Adami, where the famous actor Nejat Uygur’s sons
Suheyl and Behzat Uygur were starring, two generations met in the same stage. The play is
about today’s doctors’ and health employees’ tragicomic stories. Besides the actors Süheyl
Uygur, Behzat Uygur, Önder Keskin, Kahraman Sivri, Duygu Paracıkoğlu and Nurten İnan,
young actress Desen Uygur was also in the play. Suheyl and Behzat’s brother Kemal Uygur’s
daughter Desen is involving more than one role in the play.
Hasta Etme Adami is a comedy about lives of health employee in the hospital including
violence issues and challenges of incoming patients which has become a recent problem.
Hasta Etme Adami is opening lots of doors from the entrance of the hospital to operating room,
emergency room, even morgue. These internal funny stories promise to make you laugh until
you cry your eyes out.

The “Don’t Make Me Sick” Theater Play Will Be Performed in Antalya
Süheyl and Behzat Uygur Theater’s play titled “Don’t Make Me Sick” will be presented to art lovers in Kepez and Konyaaltı.
Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, Süheyl and Behzat Uygur Theater “Don’t Make Me Sick” theatrical play brings together the people of Antalya.
The event will be offered free of charge to art lovers at Kepez Arif Nihat Asya Open Air Theater on Monday, September 8 at 9.00pm and at Konyaaltı Open Air Theater at the same time on Tuesday, September 9.
The “Sick Man” deals with the tragicomic events that happen to doctors and medical staff in hospitals. Written and directed by Aksel Bonfil; Süheyl and Behzat Uygur, Tuncay Kaynak, Önder Keskin, Kahraman Sivri, Desen Uygur, Duygu Paracıkoğlu and Nurten İnan play the roles. – Antalya
